A gay therapist who has spent his career serving the LGBTQ+ community
I’m a gay man and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I’ve continuously worked with the LGBTQ+ community since 2012. Working with our community is not a specialty I added later- it’s where I started and where I built my entire career.
I began my clinical training at the Los Angeles LGBT Center in 2012 as a practicum student, then returned to the Center in 2014 to complete my formal internship. During my training period I also interned at the Center’s Lifeworks program, which supports LGBTQ+ youth, and at Being Alive LA, a peer-based organization serving people living with HIV. I earned my Master of Arts in Psychology from University of the West in 2014, became fully licensed in 2019 and opened Positive Change Therapy in 2020.
Who I work with
Working with me is like being with an experienced guide on a trek in a forest you’ve never explored before. I can help you navigate the trail and make sure you don’t get lost, point out things in the forest that you might not see if you’re hiking alone and ensure you get to the destination you need to go to.

My clinical approach draws from person-centered therapy, mindfulness & Buddhist psychology and motivational interviewing. I meet you where you are rather than where I think you should be. If you struggle with substances, I work with both harm reduction and abstinence frameworks depending on where you are at in your recovery journey. If you’re navigating relationship challenges, I don’t keep score- I’m interested in helping both partners feel heard and finding a path forward.
I see clients at two offices:
Larchmont Village — 627 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004
Melrose Avenue — 8271 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046 (on the border of West Hollywood)
I also offer online sessions throughout California.
