Therapy for Individual Adults in Los Angeles
A space where you can finally be honest about what’s really going on without having to explain yourself.
You’re doing well enough on the outside. You show up for work, keep your commitments and handle your responsibilities. But underneath it, something doesn’t feel right… and it hasn’t for a while.
Maybe it’s the drinking or substance use that’s become more than recreational. Maybe it’s the anxiety that won’t let up, the grief you haven’t fully processed, or a persistent feeling that you’re not good enough no matter what you accomplish. Maybe you’re just tired — tired of the same patterns, the same thoughts, the same feeling of being stuck.
You’ve thought about therapy before. But you want to work with someone who actually gets it — someone you don’t have to educate about your life, your identity, or what it means to navigate the world as a gay man.
Who do I Work with?
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults — particularly gay men in their 30s through 60s — who are dealing with one or more of these challenges:
Addiction and substance use — whether you’re questioning your relationship with substances, in early recovery, or trying to stay on track after a relapse.
Anxiety — the constant worry, the racing thoughts, the feeling that something bad is about to happen even when things are objectively fine.
Grief and loss — the death of someone you love, the end of a relationship, the loss of a sense of who you are or where you belong.
Negative self-image — the voice that tells you you’re not enough, not attractive enough, not successful enough, not worthy of love or connection.
Life transitions and feeling stuck — mid-life questions, career shifts, relocation, aging — the moments when everything you thought you knew about your life gets called into question.
What makes Therapy with me different ?
I’m a gay identified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with the LGBTQ+ community throughout my entire career. When you’re in a session with me you don’t have to explain what Grindr is, or why your family’s reaction to your coming out still affects you, or how the gay community’s relationship with substances is complicated. I already know. And because we don’t have to spend time on that groundwork, we can go deeper, faster.
My approach is grounded in mindfulness and person-centered therapy. But here’s what matters most: I work collaboratively with you, meeting you where you are, not where I think you should be. We’ll look at where things are right now versus where you want them to be — and then we’ll bridge that gap together.
I offer therapy sessions at my offices in Larchmont Village and on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, as well as online for anyone in California.
You’ve been carrying this long enough. Let’s Start.
